LA Noire is a huge adventure game with tons of content: voice acting, mocap. It's not a shooter. If even a shooter cannot fit on a DVD, it probably means that DVD is insufficient and outdated technology.
But all those games were big action-adventure titles with tons of content (video, music, voice). They were not shooters. Now even shooters cannot fit on Xbox's DVD.
It's not about price. It's about games.

DS had huge prroblems with action-adventure games, racing games and fightings. Even the flight arcades headed by Ace Combat were better on PSP. I don't know, what better library are you talking about: DS had great JRPGs, Strategies, puzzle games and adventure games like Another Code or 9.9.9. But with lack of good games in other genres it can hardly be better. Even platform games were better on PSP: LocoRoco, LBP, Daxter, Secret Agent Clank, Prinny and some more.
But I would like a proper Ape Escape 4. Not an Ape Academy or Ape Escape for Move.
Resident Evil Revelations for PSV. C'mon, Capcom. We all know you're a totally for multiplatform.

Apple just need games to compete with PSV launch titles. I don't need a device that is way more expencive than PSV without a decent library of strong core titles. And also buttons of course.

Are you buying new console to play old games? I was talking about new ones. Games that will make me buy a 3DS, because I cannot play them on DS, that I already have. System sellers, you know. There's no reason to spend money on a new console just because it came out. The reason are games. I'm playing my DS library on DS, I don't need a 3DS for that.
New console means not much without new games. So compared to NDS library, the 3DS' library is looking quite pale.
